The Bachelor of Information Management (BIM) is a four-year, eight-semester undergraduate program under the Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University. The program integrates Information Technology and Management courses to prepare students for the modern digital business environment.
BIM is designed to develop students’ knowledge and skills in computing, informatics, business fundamentals, software development, data management, information systems, and critical decision-making. The program aims to produce IT professionals who can apply technological solutions to solve real-life organizational and business problems.
The main objective of the BIM program is to develop socially responsive, creative, and result-oriented information technology professionals with strong managerial understanding.

Students applying for admission to the BIM program must have:
Eligible applicants are required to appear in the Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by the Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University.
The CMAT includes areas such as:
Students must secure at least 40% in CMAT to qualify for the interview. Applicants securing above the cut-off marks are shortlisted for interview, and final admission is based on the admission criteria of the Faculty of Management and the campus.

In the final semester, students are required to complete an internship in an organization. The internship provides students with practical exposure to the professional work environment and helps them apply their academic knowledge in real-world situations.
Each student must prepare and submit an internship report based on the work completed during the internship period.
The BIM program is conducted under the semester system. Internal evaluation and external end-semester examinations are used to assess students’ academic performance.
Internal evaluation may include assignments, presentations, practical work, project work, class participation, and internal examinations. The external examinations are conducted by the Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University.
After completing the BIM program, graduates will be able to work in both IT and management sectors. They will have knowledge and skills in programming, database management, networking, web technology, information systems, business management, data analysis, and digital entrepreneurship.
