About the Program

Bachelor of Arts in Computer Application (BCA) is a four-year, eight-semester program under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Tribhuvan University. It is designed to produce high-quality computer application users and developers, bridging the gap between students and the industry. Students earn 126 credits upon graduation.

Mechi Multiple Campus offers the BCA program with a dedicated classroom, modern teaching facilities including multimedia projectors and display screens, and a well-equipped computer lab to support practical and theoretical learning.

Admission Eligibility

Applicants must have completed Intermediate or Higher Secondary level (10+2) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized institution with at least a second division (45%). Eligible candidates must also pass an entrance examination conducted by the Dean's office and attend a college interview before final selection. Career counselling is provided to students and parents at the time of admission.

Evaluation and Grading

Each semester includes two internal exams conducted by the college and a final board exam by TU. Students are also required to submit weekly or deadline-based assessments for every subject. Grades are awarded based on combined performance in sessional and final examinations, following a letter grade system ranging from A (4.0 – Excellent) to F (0 – Fail).

Program Outcomes

BCA graduates from Mechi Multiple Campus are equipped with the knowledge and skills to pursue careers in software development, IT, and related fields. They can work as software developers, app developers, and more, with opportunities at leading IT companies both within Nepal and abroad.
